ABOUT

LaVanda Mireles is a visual artist who works in painting and drawing, collage, mixed media, assemblage, and over the past ten years has been experimenting with cyanotype printmaking. Found objects, everyday non-art items, reusable and recyclable things are her preferred materials to make marks with. From her home studio in Rochester, Minnesota, she exposes her cyanotype prints either with indoor UV lamps or outside in the backyard with the sun. She has shared her work in over thirty group and solo exhibits and continues to create and explore art making with ultraviolet light.
