I recently finished this cyanotype on cotton fabric, measuring approximately 20 x 30 inches. For the exposure, I used old window decorations as lenses along with bracelets, sea fans, plastic spice lids, string, ribbon, pop-can tabs, confetti, bread tabs, found metal, and small bits of nature. Even though the exposure process itself is very still, I love the tension and contrast that appear between that stillness and the movement and energy created by the marks made with the c


Work of eARTh, Rochester Art Center's Teen Art Club
The Work of eARTh Teen Art Club at the Rochester Art Center invited me to teach an "Intro to Cyanotype" workshop. We took an observation walk and collected fall debris, leaves, feathers, and together with letters and stencils, combined them with a collection of toys, bits and pieces from the classroom. The group of young creatives exposed their unique compositions under UV lamps and each made at least two prints. Here are some examples from our amazing afternoon!
